Federer On His Way To Six Consecutive Wimbledon Titles

Roger Federer beat Russia’s Marat Safin 6-3 7-6 6-4 today in the Wimbledon Mens Single Semifinal and is only one match away from becomming the first man in modern day tennis to win six consecutive Wimbledon Titles.

Federer has still not lost a single set during Wimbledon 2008 and looking at the way he’s playing, he will be strong favourite to win Wimbledon 2008.

The world number one, broke early in the 1st set and never gave Safin any chances. Federer was king of his serve and really looked ontop of his game.Safin, a former world number one, could not get to Federer’s serves fast enough allowing the Swiss to whip up 14 aces compared to the Russian’s 13.

Federer’s average speed for first serves was 119mph, while Safin’s average was slightly more with 125mph- thus showing the top seed’s placement on each serve must have been as accurate as always.

Safin, who famously beat Federer in the 2005 Australian Open’s Semifinal, led the second set by a game throughout, and as the Russian’s lead approached 6-5, Federer made a comeback to win 7(7)-6(3).

Federer will face Rafael Nadal or Rainer Schuettler in the Wimbledon 2008 Men’s Final.

Have you ever wondered how Nadal and Federer made it to the top? I certainly have. They made it because they can handle pressure on the tennis courts and we cant… simple.

There are many players out there that are physically better than Federer but because they cant put there mind in the correct state when they play big matches they will never be half as good as Federer.

BUT YOU CAN BE BETTER THAN FEDERER!

Grab a copy of this latest best selling MIND OVER MATTER tennis techniques and start playing the tennis you’ve always wanted to play.

Who knows, maybe we see you at Wimbledon 2009? What have u got to loose? Nothing! So give it a try today and become the next Roger Federer!

Will Nadal End Federer’s Reign at Wimbledon?

Bjorn Borg (who has lifted the Wimbledon Trophy 5 times) seems to think Rafael Nadal will succeed in ending Roger Federer’s amazing winning streak at Wimbledon Tennis Tournament which begins the 23 July.  Its hard to disagree with Borg as Nadal has had an amazing year. Nadal thrashed Federer at the French Open to win his 4th conscutive final at Roland Garros. Tickets for Wimbledon Tennis have no doubt increased in demand, as evey tennis fan will want to see these 2 battle it out in what will be an amazing Wimbledon Final.

Borg believes that Nadal will be the one to stop Federer from winning his 6th successive Wimbledon Championship,

“If he (Nadal) survives the first couple of rounds this year, I pick him to win Wimbledon,” the Swede told BBC Sport.

“The way he played last year (at Wimbledon), it was an unbelievable final. He was very unfortunate not to win that particular match. He had chances.

“And I’m sure after losing a match like that he wants to come back and try to win that championship.”
