Rafael Nadal put an end to reigning champion Andy Roddick’s winning streak at the Queen’s ATP Tournament with a 7-5 6-4 victory. Nadal has placed himself in a great position ahead of the Wimbledon Championship, which begins the 23 July 2008. He will face either Novak Djokovic or David Nalbandian at the Queen’s Final on Sunday.

Nadal seems to have adjusted perfectly to the West London grass-court conditions and this experience will definately aid him with his Wimbledon 2008 mindset.

“It means a lot to play so well against the defending champion who has won so many games here,” Nadal said. “I felt he was the favourite because he is an amazing player on grass because of his serve. I’m really happy.”

Rafael Nadal managed to overcome Roddick’s quick paced serves, but it was Nadal’s amazing groundstrokes that was always going to make the diffirence.
